Fräulein Madeleine

My poor blog. I'm sorry I've been neglecting you!! I've not managed to keep up terribly well with blogging over the past few weeks. Which is such a shame, because I have so many photos and experiences that I want to share, but am always in the next place having more experiences and taking more photos instead of posting (and often without decent internet)!!! Nevermind though, there may be a slight lag, but I'll get there eventually!!

We are currently in Charlottesville, Virginia, snuggling babies, being chased by cows (note to self, stop wearing shades of red when passing them by), and eating A LOT of good food (and preparing for a whole lot more for Thanksgiving).

I thought I'd share a little more of our time in Austria though, through the eyes of our little Fräulein.  We had such an incredible week making our way through Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna. Early on in our Austrian adventure a lovely lady who only spoke German kept calling Maddie "fräulein" and I couldn't have loved it more!

So here is our Austrian adventures with our little Fräulein Madeleine.

INNSBRUCK

Our first taste of Austria was Innsbruck, the stunning ski town nestled way up in the Austrian Alps.

SALZBURG

Our 4 days in Salzburg were mostly spent traipsing around the Austrian countryside following the steps of fräulein  Maria! I can assure you there's going to be a LOT more of these photos to come!!! Definitely remembering my favourite things, and then I don't feeeeeeel.....sooo baaaaaaad!

VIENNA

Our last stop in Austria was the capital city. We ate the best food we'd had in weeks (this first photo was the best gluten free pizza I've had anywhere in the world, and the esterhazytorta that I posted on IG almost broke my belt!!!!). An "Outrageous food in Vienna" post will be sure to follow!!!!

This is the view from the top of the Sofitel Hotel. They have a light installation on the roof, which looks absolutely incredible looking out over the city with the seemingly endless light show. If you're in Vienna, GO!

We loved each and every one of these three cities, and they were each so different from each other and had so much to offer. I can't wait to share a little more detail about Austria soon, just as soon as we sit still for longer than two minutes!!!

Today however, preparations will start for Thanksgiving and we're expecting a light dusting of snow here in Charlottesville, and I couldn't be more excited! I hope you're having a lovely week, and for my (what feels like Fellow...;) Americans, Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow! xx
