The word to describe this moment in our lives.
It was two weeks ago, when the three of us were in Byron Bay. Well, three and a half of us.
Byron Bay is my happy place. It is where my Gran lived and so we spent every holiday possible playing on the beach and collecting shells in one of the most picturesque spots in Australia. Byron Bay held all of my happy childhood memories and then Pete carried this into adulthood by proposing up at the lighthouse six years ago.
I couldn't imagine a more perfect place to launch us forward into the next phase of our lives.
So then to be back in Byron Bay, almost six years to the day since Pete proposed, standing in the very same spot where he was down on bended knee, with our daughter in our arms and another baby on the way, it felt significant.
It was at that moment that we let go of the previous four months worth of immense stress and embraced our little growing family and allowed ourselves to get excited. It was the spot that dreams have come true for us, and so we let ourselves smile. And we haven't stopped since.
